COPOA 1,2,3 Home Owners Association Q. Where can I find the documents describing the establishment and rules for COPOA 1,2,3 A. The Legal Docs page on this website contains all of the legal documents for our HOA. They also available at the Uvalde County recorder's office. Q. My real estate agent needs information and/or a resale certificate. Who do I contact to get this? A. Please contact the president of the association. pres@copoa123.com. The title companies will be familiar with the process. Q. Are there public utilities in COPOA 1,2,3? A. Electricity is supplied by Bandera Electric Co-op. Water is supplied by Concan Water supply Co. There are several internet providers and wired phone service by HCTC. Trash service is by private companies. No commercial dumpsters are allowed. Meetings Q. When is the annual meeting and where is it held? A. The annual meeting is in January and the time and location will be posted on the website. Q. Are there meetings to discuss current issues? A. The Board meets on at least a quarterly basis. The dates will be listed on this website and members will be notified via e-mail. If the meeting is on Zoom, a link will be provided. Q. I have an idea that would benifit our neighborhood. How do I present it to the HOA? A. Please contact any board member in writing. Q. How can I apply to be on the board or an officer of the HOA? A. If interested in serving on the HOA Board of Directors contact the president for an application. Committee members can be approved by the Board of Directors ant any time. Dues, Fees, and Payments Q. How much are the HOA dues? A. Annual dues are $200 per lot and an additional $200 is assesed for rented property Q. Will there be a bill mailed to the homeowners? A. All statements are emailed to your registered email unless we are notified in writing prior to Nov 1. It is the owner'sresponsibility to notify the Treasurer if a statement is not received by December 15th. Annual Dues due before 1/31, late fees apply monthly thereafter, $25 per month. If dues are not current by 4/15, access cards are deactivated and there is a $50 re-activation fee. A $25 fee will be charged for NSF checks. Q. Is there a way to delay my annual dues because of a hardship situation? A. The Board is always willing to consider a payment plan. Please contact them in writing. Q. I do not live full time in Canyon Oaks, what address should I use for correspondence? A. Please use your home mailing address It is the property owner's responsibility to maintain current contact information with the HOA. Common Areas - Parks and Roads Q. Where do I find the rules governing the common areas and parks? A. These rules can be found in the COPOA_ACC document on this web site's "Legal Docs" page. Q. How do I report a damaged road? A. The HOA owns and maintains the road system. It is supported with dues and development fees. If there is an issue with the road, please contact pres@copoa123.com Q. Can we overnight in the river park in our camper? A. No overnight occupation of the river park is allowed. It is open from 7:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. daily. Q. How do we reserve an R.V. spot for a future date. A. Check this website PARKS page for rates and booking procedures. Q. How many access cards should I have with my HOA membership? A. Each owner should have 3 cards. There must be a card for each vehicle entering the river park. Contact a board member is you need an extra card for a special occasion. Q. I have a damaged access card. How can I get it replaced? A. Contact pres@copoa123.com or any board member. Damaged cards are an even exchange, lost cards are $50 per card. Q. Can my renters go to the river park? A. No, they are prohibited. Only you and your personal guests are allowed. Abuse of this policy will result in loss of your gate cards for 90 days. Architectural Control Committee Q. Are there any restrictions on the type of housing I can build? A. Yes, the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) must review ALL proposed development, including landscaping. Please see the ACC page on this website for details and procedures. Q. If the ACC rejects any part of my ACC application, how can I appeal? A. All Appeals on ACC decisions are submitted in writing to the HOA Board of Directors. Q. Is there a fee required? A. A fee must be received immediately after the application has been approved. The fee is driven by the use and potential damage to the roads. This will be decided by the ACC Committee. The heavy road usage fee will be $750 for a new project. Q. May I start construction before my application is approved? A. No, there is a minimum $1000 fine for starting before approval. Q. How long does it take to get my application approved? A. The application must be approved within 30 days.
